If you’re a filmmaker, activist who works with media, or are just having some existential dread, reach out. My availability and capacity may vary but if I can help, I will. If can’t then I will offer a possible direction to take.

Azhish! (Current)

Azhish! is a free-to-students performing arts program for Native youth in reservation and urban communities. It also aims to highlight the talents of young and upcoming dance artists within the community.

Filmmakers Without Borders Fellowship (2015-2016)

I was awarded a year-long fellowship teaching film in the Dinétah/Navajo Nation. I built curriculum and taught 65 students, across 5 classes per day, 5 days week on topics as foundational as media literacy and as advanced as the essentials of mise en scène. I also brought in friends from the film industry as guest instructors. The culmination of which lead to 38 student-made films, showcased at a community-wide film festival, where I brought in sponsorships from Kodak and Audio-Technica.

Volunteer Doc Projects (2011-2015)

After graduating college and starting work full-time, I moonlit with documentary and media work. With a DSLR and a zoom recorder I filmed political actions around reproductive rights, racial justice and labor. Sometimes the goal was to cover a story and other times it was to capture evidence of harm caused by law enforcement and counter protestors. In 2012 I produced a film with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers about their story and subsequently toured the film to universities and institutions in multiple cities.

The Vagina Monologues (2010-2011)

Starting off as the press officer in 2010, the following season I worked with the director as a producer of The Vagina Monologues at my alma mater UConn-Stamford. My responsibilities included coordinating casting calls, recruiting support staff & crew, locking in sponsors for production as well as a silent auction fundraiser to support those impacted by domestic violence.
